Two of the world’s greatest waterfalls are in Iceland

The readers of Listverse have chosen the Top 10 Awe Inspiring Waterfalls’ in the world. Two of them, Dettifoss and Gullfoss, are in Iceland. The two waterfalls are also listed among the World’s top 10 waterfalls on the World of Waterfalls website.

Listverse puts Dettifoss at number 4 on their list, right after Iguazu Falls, Niagara falls and Victoria falls. Dettifoss waterfall is only a 80 minute drive from Húsavík in the North of Iceland and a new road also connects it to Road 1, also known as the ring road.

The Iguazu Falls are located on the border between Argentina and Brazil, Niagara falls on the border between the USA and Canada and Victoria falls on the  Zambia and Zimbabwe border.

The readers of goIceland recently chose Dettifoss as the Number 1 Attraction in Iceland at the Top 10 Iceland website.
