Photographer Benni Valsson opens exhibition in Akureyri

Icelandic photographer Benni Valsson has opened his first major exhibition in Iceland, in his hometown of Akureyri. The exhibition consists of 57 portraits of Icelandic and international celebrities, including Icelandic singer Björk, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Australian actress Naomi Watts, American artist Patti Smith, French footballer Zinedine Zidane and musican Robbie Williams, just to name a few. All the portarits are from the past 15 years.

Valsson has recently moved back to Iceland and is now working on an advertising campaign for UK broadcaster Channel 4. The exhibition is in the Ketilhus Art Gallery in the center of Akureyri, across the street from the Akureyri KEA Hotel.
